DIRAC v2 Public Beta for the iPhone Available

Mainz, Germany, October 5th, 2009 — We are happy to announce the first public beta of the new DIRAC version 2 for the iPhone. Over the past few weeks, we have received numerous requests for an iPhone version of our DIRAC time stretch/pitch shift technology, since Apple is not providing their AUTimePitch AudioUnit for the iPhone. Until now, iPhone developers had to use their own methods to change pitch and speed of audio signals independently, as no commercial grade solution was available.

As of today, DIRAC v2 for the iPhone is in public beta test and we expect to release support for its full range of platforms this week. The LE version will continue to be free and all versions will be available for Windows, MacOS X, Linux and the iPhone. Upgrades for existing 1.x licenses will also be available.

For general information on the product please visit our DIRAC page at http://www.dspdimension.com/technology-licensing/dirac2/ which will also be updated to version 2 soon. Version 2 offers increased speed, a better preview mode, better formant correction, iPhone support, 64bit support and is now ANSI C callable.

If you want to participate in the beta test and download a fully functional beta version of the free LE version right now you can do so from http://beta.dspdimension.com/iPhoneTest.zip (please see the license agreement that comes with the archive). Please contact us with any questions or problems that you might have via our contact form.
